Tyler is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Tyler is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Well, I have not yet had the privilege of touring your shelter. I have been looking for my special dog. But I just wanted to give a shout out to all the employees at all the shelters. I could not handle your job very well. It's a good day when someone comes in and finds their perfect four-legged friend. Then you have the bad days . When people have to render their dog or cat to a shelter . Because they can no longer take care of them. They're good people though, or they would have just left them out on the street alone. So I am looking for my special friend like a shih tzu , or that size anyway. So far no luck. But back to All you animal caregivers!! Keep up the great work!!

I am so grateful for the Tyler Texas Animal control. I adopted my dog Stir Fry (sonic) from them. I know that not all dogs are the best because of their past, however stir fry is one of the best dogs I have ever seen. I was worried about his energy when i first got him haha but it ended up being amazing for me. He is very sharp and a really fast learner. TTAC helped covered him being neutered and his check up after I got him and they made the process very simple for me. Idk if they do this for all dogs though. Stir fry is very very happy and is now has am adventure Tik Tok. I plan on getting him a sister here soon, and will for sure go to a shelter to do that. Please please please if you are reading this, dogs like Stir Fry deserve a second chance at life, so go adopt! As for the employees I see a lot of bad reviews about them and the "customer experience". I cant say they were the happiest people on the planet, but if Im being honest it's a hard job for the pay they receive. Dogs need to eat even on their days off, be taken out, they poop everywhere, shed, bite, bark, smell, they need shots, and they need baths. Even owning one dog can be hard at times. They see so many people ab

My Sister in law and I went to get my elderly parents a new cat. The cat we chose was a surrender cat and has the best temperment for an elderly couple. Have to say the people were very helpful. Molly has been the best thing for my parents.
